The role

A leading Accident and Health team for a large global and specialty insurer based in London are looking for a Senior Underwriter to join their growing team.

This role is hybrid working offering excellent benefits including pension contributions, 28 days holiday and a discretionary bonus.

Role Overview

• Underwrite PMI & IPMI business in line with guidelines and business strategy.
• Promote the company to brokers and create business opportunities.
• Develop strong relationships with trusted broker partners.
• Help expand the branch’s capabilities in writing profitable PMI & IPMI business.

Key responcibilities

• Develop and maintain pricing tools for PMI & IPMI lines.
• Monitor portfolio balance, report deviations, and suggest strategic changes.
• Assist in planning and forecasting for PMI & IPMI portfolios.
• Promote our brand externally to brokers and clients.
• Build a trusted network of brokers for business opportunities.
• Work internally with legal, compliance, and claims teams to support product lines.

Skills & experience

• Proven market leader in PMI & IPMI business with a deep understanding of the sector.
• Ability to contribute to the development of technical pricing tools.
• Strong connections within the PMI & IPMI market.
• Experience in managing portfolios and risk selection.
• Strong team player with leadership skills.
